Here is our groups stock footage that we have gathered including newspaper articles, diaries and leaflets to be used in our driving documentary. we booked a camera for one of our media lessons and photographed them all. The information gathered is from different sources including newspapers, personal diaries and leaflets sent through the post, images taken from notice boards and advertisments. most of the footage is to show road safety,records/law and incidents that invovle driving.

Planning - email to RAF

As part of our documentary we wanted to broaden driving to not only car and roadtravel but flying. So we emailed and rung serveral times to the RAF office in Liverpool to arrange an interview with the manager Jack Russell. We are still awaiting a call back from him.
we would like to ask him questions about flying for a career, why he choose a career in the RAF? and get lots of information on flying and teaching people to fly rather than drive a car/tank

Statistics;
Driving license statisics

• In 2006, 63 per cent of women and 81 per cent of men in Great Britain held a full car driving licence.

• The number of women holding a full car driving licence increased by two and a half times between 1975-76 and 2006.


• The proportion of young adults holding licences has fallen over the last decade. Half of men aged 17 to 20 held a licence
in 1995-97, compared with 37 per cent in 2006.

Alcohol statisics

• Alcohol can slow down reaction time by 10 to 30 per cent.

• It also reduces ability to perform two or more tasks at the same time. Alcohol reduces the ability to see distant objects and night vision can be reduced by 25 per cent.
