Camera work
tracking of big area hit by the disaster showing rubbish and empty space.

interviewees are sometimes left or right but on the other interviews its a two shot of two people filling up the screen.

Mise en scene
the interviewees are only sometimes filmed in medium close up but others are in twos.
sri lanka - peoples homes, hotels and roads.
lighting was natural as filmed mostly in daytime but some artifical lighting for the interviews in peoples homes as outside dark.
Sound
wind - this added an intense feel to the documentary as you know it is serious.
car beeping
water running
waves
talking
speaking - foreign accent.
Editing
most common editing is cut i.e. cut to another person appearing on screen next to an interviewee.
fast motion was used to show a car driving to a desination
fade to black was used between interviews.
Archive footage
no archive footage was used as documentary was about the aftermath.
Graphics
white title with information i.e. sri lanka was struck by a terrible disaster etc.
the information was serious and factual.
letters for this just normal then the main title appeared and the colour changed to black to show seriousness and importance. all these letters were in capitals and it shown title and date in a strong bold font.
